Finding the right self-catering holiday home to make that happen is the challenge. It needs to be big enough that nobody feels crowded. Accessible enough that older guests can move around with ease. Well equipped enough for serious group self-catering. And in a location good enough to justify travelling from different corners of Ireland, the UK or further afield.

Exquisite Holiday Homes in Kinsale ticks every one of those boxes and then some!

Seven owner-managed luxury holiday homes sleeping between 16 and 32 guests, set in and around one of Ireland’s most beautiful and celebrated towns on the Wild Atlantic Way.

SUP and Kayak Lessons

For the more adventurous members of the family, stand-up paddle boarding and kayak lessons on the water around Kinsale are great fun. No experience needed, and a brilliant way to spend a morning while others enjoy a slower start.

Why Kinsale is perfect for a multigenerational family holiday

Kinsale has a rare quality that makes it ideal for a family group spanning three generations. Something genuinely enjoyable for every age, without anyone having to compromise.

For grandparents, it’s a town of beauty, history and excellent food; easy to explore at a gentle pace, with world-class restaurants, a fascinating harbour, historic forts and the kind of warm, unhurried atmosphere that makes a holiday feel like a proper rest.

For parents, it offers the perfect balance – enough to fill a week if you want to stay active, and relaxed enough that doing very little feels entirely justified. The Wild Atlantic Way is on the doorstep, Kinsale Golf Club and the legendary Old Head are a short drive away, and the town’s food and drink scene is outstanding.

For children, there are beaches, boat trips, outdoor activities, playgrounds and in every one of our luxury self-catering holiday homes, they have the simple freedom of having a large private garden to run around in – something the best hotels in the world can’t replicate.

Kinsale is 30 minutes from Cork city and 20 minutes from Cork Airport, which has direct flights from the UK and connections from further afield; making it genuinely easy to get to for guests travelling from different locations. Dublin is around two and a half hours by road.
